Nomads is a series I started many years ago and I continue to explore. My nomads wander from place to place in an alien world of difficulties but also full of adventures and surprising situations.
I worked as a professional photographer for many years and I acquired a sense for portraits. The human-like figures that I create are reflective of those years. The poses, the attitudes, and the narrative make these figures one of my most prolific series.
Flowers are my best sellers. Amazing colors and details that will make you think about the wonders of nature.
Abstracts are the catharsis that I use to improve my creativity. They provide me with the comfort of being stress-free, careless, improvising, using new techniques, experimenting, and learning, knowing that the final result always will be abstract.
I use real Kodak Multicontrast black and white paper with color inks as well as photo developer, photo fixer, and other chemicals. As with all my works, this is based on the same principle of liquid fluidity and physical reactions of some of these chemicals with inks while recorded by the paper. The results are figures and shapes that resemble nature's actions and forces.
I also paint on canvas. The techniques remain the same as on paper but the result is different in some ways. My paintings canvas doesn't have the sharpness that the paper provides. On the other hand, this canvas can be stretched and framed like any acrylic or oil painting and can be shown without glass in the front. Paintings on paper, like drawings, watercolors or photographs require to be behind glass to avoid fading.
What is an ACEO or ATC?
An ACEO, also known as ATC (Artist Trading Card), is a miniature work of art. It is officially sized at 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Anything else is not considered an ACEO.
-Miniature artworks are cute and interesting so you can give them as a gift to just about anyone.
-They're small enough to collect as many as you like without running out of space.
-They're more affordable than full-size art so they won't break the bank.
-Kids love them! It's a fun way to introduce the little ones to little art.
-Trade with other collectors, friends, and family, making it fun and interesting for everyone.
-It makes a great promotion tool as a sample of my larger pieces in my Store
In this section, I have the ones that I kept, the ones that I like most for one reason or another. Here you will find my favorite ones.
